hey anyone know if a Datsun 120Y S/W both complete frount struts, lower control arms,sway bar in mounting brackets breaks etc will bolt on 2 my 74 1200? just wondering because i can get the lot for $205 NZ

Front struts = Yes.
Lower control arms = No.
Sway bar = Yes, but you may need to do some heating & bending w/ an oxy set.

what will i need 2 change to make the lower arms fit? do i nead 2 drill or cut anything? or is there a easyr opition like whats another set of arms tht will fit these struts? probly a stupid Q.s but im new 2 Datsuns.. in saying tht tho i fukn love these cars cant wait till i build a track wepon of my own!!! yeayah GODATO

There are some articles on this site relating to brake upgrades. The 120y struts are the same as that fitted on the 1200 coupe and you can swap the stuts out of a 120y straight into a 1200 ute, sedan or wagon.

You would need to research this but dont dont think you need to change lower control arms.

Have not done this swap so dont take my word without looking into this.

that wont be much of a suspension upgrade for it,the only good thing bout the 120Y struts is disk brakes,assuming you've got stockie drum front end. Stanza front end with lowered springs etc would be a much better suspension upgrade,and the brakes are heaps bigger too. We put 120 struts in a mates 1200 (P-NUT) and the front sat a mile in the air,looked like it had no motor!
