good job, must be a nice feeling to get to that point. I had the pleasure of scrubbing down with TSP & simple green the entire underbody, fenderwells, engine compartment and trunk well yesterday. All paint prep work, cant say it was a lot of fun.
here's mine pre scrub ![]() here's mine after! Just kidding, its the doner going down the road, bye bye! ![]() Keep us posted on the progress!

great job!!!
i wish i went to the same level of trouble and effort....i went the apparent quick and easy route of a "panelbeater/painter" doing a cut and weld and respray. i can't seem to get photos to post here, but the end result is a car that needs to be painted again and a bill from the painter much bigger then originally agreed to....i now need to either leave it and drive it or strip it back to a rolling shell and spend up big...i am pot comitted now..(too much spent already) lol.

I used to complain about the outrageous money people (who new what they were doing) charged for a paint job, then...............I did the body work and had a buddy spray the car. We did it in my garage and it was only meant to be a 10 footer not even close to show quality and man it was a ton of work. I now understand how a paint job can cost 10K.

Yeah i watch my friend restore and paint in his business and since chatting with him every day i have seen how much work goes into getting it right.I also get to see some people who unfortunately paid a lot of money for someone to get it all wrong
Most of these guys charge $70 or more per hour and you should see the cars either left out in the weather while painting or absolutely chickers with filler instead of getting it right

there are a lot of dents still in the bodywork. but all up I am very happy with the final product. I think it will look even better when I get the chrome bits on it. I also need new front and rear window seals. The road has been long and I wish I had spent a little more time on the dents but the truth is I thought it was straight.
