no, the Championship record for IPRA 3001-5000cc is held by Michael Collin's WRX.

i thought his rex has gone faster than that, i thought he was around the 44's

He set this time back in 2003 in IPRA legal spec. to run in IPRA category you need to have a turbo restrictor for one thing.

He is currently running high 43's in the no-rules 'AWD Forced Induction' category in club hillclimbs. This isn't a recognised category so it doesn't exist in the QLD or Australian Championships. He will probably run as a Sport Sedan again in the QHC.
