just wondering im looking for a tailgate for my 1200 ute, built 06/76, and the tailgates say for 04/78 onwards. what was the differance between them?

yeh they wont fit, i know from experience i have a '75 the top lip will be to high, im gunna hav to chop and change it to make it right. affraid theres no other option unless u find good nick one or repair the one you've got.

the tailgates are very cheap to buy and to be honest the mods arent that hard to do

i got oen of them ebay ones,
at the start it sat a bit high but i just put sum weight on it and its now bout 2mm off being level, your never gonna get one level coz the year of the car

you know how to make one of the tailgates fit.....just cut the top off.. lol

yeh i would like to repair the one i've got, except i dont have one haha. hmm i'll have down from a wrecker or something.
i would by one and cut it but all the body work i've done so far, i just cant be bothered lol.
