i am mid way thru the conversion (ca18det in1200 ute) and my 1200 when i brought came with a a14 in it. instead of sitting it in the corner im going to build it up with some mild work (mainly head, unless i can find a big cam and stroker kit ;) and sell it. with trans. - or even trade

the build will not take me long.
to start:
head stripped down, rockers off. the rocker shaft off (to be balanced and made sure no bends or anything) then will have the valves out and the head sent off for some work and dipped and cleaned in a special acid. should be good. block will be torn down saturday, dipped in acid bathed fully cleand bores tidyed up then build time.

yup keep the a14 throw the ca and turbo the a14 you can get it to run highs 11's if you build it right talk to finn on this site his 1200 coupe ran a 11.92 pass with a bad launch and head gasket problems and it would probably cost you the same amount as putting the ca into the car....

and the a series would handle so much better.
