I know that this is a subject that has discussed so much already, but to search through all the other postings is not helping me much! so here goes.....

i am using an a12 block, gx head , gx intake with adapter to an 40mm weber IDA, turbocharger from a 2.8ltr mitsubishi diesel, 2'' exhaust from front to back with 1 freeflow box, planned to run 0.5 bar.....

I have a standard dizzy with a pertronix ignitor kit inside of......

I NEED HELP WITH...
What you guys have done with you dizzy's for a turbo setup with regards to the weights inside, what degrees you guys have found to be good performance +/-

And a formula for jetting carbs or anything you guys might think is valuable?!?!?!

thanks

Careful with the diesel turbo, the seals arent as good as a normal turbo, you mights want to try and find a decent T25 designed for a petrol motor.

i had my dizzy converted at a distributor specialist to have boost retard instead of vacuum advance

worked quite well... a good start would be to at least pull the top out of the dizzy and weld up the mechanical advance

i pressume this was done by the distributor specialist to the first dizzy, but i did it later to my own elec dizzies

there seems to be a hell of a lot of dissagreements on the topic of distributor setup and turbos..... tread carefully.

In the end you are just trying to stop it detonating from the distributor advancing to much.

or why not just adapt an e15 turbo motor dizzy to fit the a series?
