hey guy's does anyone know if or wat the break upgrade standards are for a 1200 ute to be road worthy for a ca18det conversion..

Not sure of the acctual rule's but I emagine if you had something roughly equivalent to the car the motor came out of, that would be a good start.

in a 1200 ute 120y disc front as a minimum.

although i dont recommend them for anything more than (legal) street driving...

i was told the rule of thumb is you are suppose to use the brakes that was in the car the engine originally came out with to be properly engineered and to be confident in your car to brake sufficently when needed, i used the 120y disks in my blue coupe and it was VERY hairy on the track! i wouldn't recommend using the standard 120y disks, you should be using stanza or 200b at a minimum in my opinion! Also depends on the purpose of the car.

Ive done R31 struts with 1200 spring perches, even though the 1200 perches are small i machined out the center to fit skyline strut, also allows the car to sit lower roughly 2"
The control arm is the next thing to nut out, skyline, 200b, gazelle control arms they bolt up the same,
the outer tierods are also diffrient sizes, thats what i have that at the moment to play with,
the booster.....well that another thing!!
what diff you using?, im using R31 skyline diff from a wagon 3.89

hotrocket, r31 struts bolt onto stanza steering arms....so just need all the same stuff as for a stanza strut swap plus a sheer load spacer ring to locate the strut properly on the steering arm
