I have used lots of regular brands; they all seem to be about the same.
Part numbers listed here for stock B110 disc brakes: http://wiki.datsun1200.com/index.php/Brakes#Part_Numbers

Apparently one of the best brake pads is called Lucas or it's new name TRW.
They fit them standard to most Euro cars (BMW, Mercedes etc) My brake place told me they brought out a video of various cars going down a mountain in the Alps and they weren't allowed to use the gears. At the end of the run they were still working but the wheels were glowing red and the tyres burst into flames. Keep in mind they probably eat rotors faster than your average pad, but then again rotors these days are pretty cheap.

Sounds like ceramic pads. As far as I know no one makes ceramic pads for Datsun 1200.

Stick with Ferodo, Girlock, PBR or most generic brands in a compersite style pad. I doubt if your Datsun is stock that you would get the ceramic pads hot enough to work. I had them in a warm commadore and when they were cold my brakes were almost non-existant. It took a few klicks before they worked.
