I have a 1400gx set up etc just rebuilt motor with cam regind approx 30/70. all going well I set dizzy @ 7degrees. problems: still pings and SU's are flooding/rich and idle is a bit up and down. I drove120 ks today to run in. I will now run hi octane fuel see if it make a diffrence if any one has got ideas and does anyone have a dyno/tuner that works on these carbs etc in Brisbane.

if its running rich it shouldnt be pinging... would be flooding and stuttering.

LPG pings if running rich not petrol usually.

If the idle is up and down but flooding, its either sticking needles and seats (could be pitted or bent needles) and floats not set right.

Not a good thing on a rebuilt engine when trying to bed in the rings as the richness will be washing the bores while te rings are trying to seal.
