my 1200 ute with ca18det is idling at about 2000 rpm when its warm.??? sometimes it doesn't do it but most of the time it does. which sensors should i look at checking and where can i find them???? any other suggestions on this problem. accelerator cable isn't tight either. plenty of slack. any help please!!!!!!!!

the little cylinder thing with the green plug in the middle of the manifold is most likely the problem, that is the electronic idle control

new setup? has car ever run right in the past?
vaccum leak? hole in brake booster diaphram?
check aac valve and ficd valve are working
are you running stock computer if so which one.
are you feeding a vehicle speed signal to ecu?
ecu has an idle and fuel cut during roll on
auto ecu can be worse than manual

thanks guys someone else said it might be the idler control.the car is new to me but has been mod plated since 2004 so i assume it has run right previously. no booster in it yet so can't be that. thanks for your help guys. anyone else feel free to suggest........
