hey guys i am restoring a datsun 1000 atm and i want to replace my front seats with some fully adjustable seats prefferably with headrests.

does anybody know if 1200 seats are adaptable to the 1000 rails? if not is there any other seats that can be adapted to them? :s

So restoring or replacing?

If you are really doing a restoration then get them re-trimmed, it's worth the big cash.

If you are replacing I am pretty sure the 1200's go in well. I have some different seats that came with mine they're pretty good but they aren't the real thing.

Good luck with it all. I know someone in Bris who should still have a stack of 1000 parts. Let me know if you need to be put in contact with him.

By the way what model (year/body) do you have. Put some pictures up mate, there are a fair few 1000 nuts here.

well i am restoring it but i would prefer having seats that i can adjust :s..

but yeah i have rang up sum trimming places today to get a rough idea on how much it would cost to get it all trimmed..

i think it is a 69 and ive got a couple of coats of paint on it now so its getting there :D

Yeah they are small but expensive once you get carried away (like I did). Have a look at my project build CLICK HERE , that'd give a vague scope of works for you.

If your replacing the front seats id be happy to buy the old 1000 seats off you as mine has no seats at all ........cheers geoff

um the seats were in the car when i got it they dont move forward or back in the rails so tehy could be fixed il have to get back to you
