hi friends, i had an A15 in my 1200. since i bought the car it had B11 rad with electric fan with it. its ran ok, lately my A15 overheat to 3 quater of the temp meter. i had send my rad to engineering shop for cleaning so now no more clog and rust. but still overheat. i notice my temp meter will stick to half if on the hiway, but to 3 quater if during traffic jam. in front of my rad is aircond condenser with a fan. is it because of the aircond condenser that block the air flow? or my B11 elect fan is not enough? or my rad is not big enough? i had remove my termostat. Is my head gasket need replacement? i'm very appreciate for any advice to get rid of the overheating problem. i have a s13 rad, should i swap with current rad? thanks friendS.

The B11 radiator is a good size for A15. Perhaps the fan is not coming on?

put in new thermostat and make shore the fan is working

Unlikely.

Find out what the problem is before you spend more money. Is the flow of the repaired radiator good?

overheating when in traffic but not when driving could be number things including the head gasket. This problem is an indication of a blocked radiator. If your radiator was cleaned out correctly (not just back flushed with a hose) check the flow like ddgonzal said, your flow should be really good.
Did the people who cleaned it tell you if it was blocked? The reason I ask is often your car will overheat due to a problem and as a result of this, the head gasket will then blow. So you may have fixed your original problem but your car is still overheating due to your head gasket.
You need to diagnos the problem before you pull the head off.
1) This is exspensive and you dont want to fix it if its not broken and
2) You dont want to overheat your fresh head and gasket.
A few things to check
Your fan is big enough
Your fan spins to correct way, it should draw the air through from front to back
Your condensor fins are not clogged with dirt so you have good air flow
Try to do a compression test and a TK test on your head gasket
Check for milky oil and check under oil cap.

You could always pay a mechanic to diagnos to problem and have a go at fixing it yourself. Good luck

How hot is 3/4 hot. In Las Vegas it can be 112 F ambient temp, this doesn't account for it being 125 F two feet from the pavement, which is where your engine is sitting..........find out what the actual temp is. I would think you could get the 3/4 hot reading in the driveway.
