was wondering if the strut towers can be replaced.... i have rust around the ones in my ute in the engine bay and want to fix it but looks too bad to cut sections out as it is underneath the seams......

thats good then. mine has a ca in it so will have to remove the inlet manifold and exhaust on the other side first. i guess just a stitch weld would be ok ????

To replace the towers:
1. Remove engine 2. Clamp body in a jig, because when you remove the old panel it will sag if you don't 3. Drill out the spot welds in old Hood Ledge panel 4. Spot weld the new panel in, same way the old panel was done. Stitch weld might be OK. Note that the strut tower and front inner panel are one piece: Guard and Hood Ledge You can view topic.
