CA18 Boost Gauge Install / Plumb in point

#3 on pix - Small vacuum nipple that should be t’ed to the fuel pressure regulator and the lower manifold butterfly assembly (located behind the fpr). A boost gauge can also be t’ed to this line. **
Is this correct? Have seen this on a few websites but my understanding would be that this is vac point not boost. Cheers Attach file: uppermanifoldvacuumsmall.jpg (44.94 KB)![]()

its vac when engine is running under vac and boost when under boost
fuel pressure reg line is critical. i would not share it with anything else. if you get a leaky hose you will get a lean out and smoke a piston. bottom pipes are water lines, maybe to stop icing? not a prob over here this is a link to the nissan parts book for a CA. it will show where all the std lines go dazza http://web2.impactblue.org/content/di ... artsdb&action=sectionlist

Cheers Dazza, the line on the throttle body I connected it to originally was the correct line and should have worked. After talking to a few guys on ozdat who have connected it up the same way their is no reason why it should not work.
Cant get car out of shed at moment to take it for a spin to try it again. After bit of reading its a pretty big risk to splice into FPR line, so will leave that one alone. At the end of the day it may even be a sick turbo, appears to be leaking oil into intercooling piping again. ![]()

That looks like a good website Dazza,
Are those part numbers Genuine Nissan Part Numbers? or Part numbers for somewhere else? Do you know?

i have a spare turbo feels and looks ok but seal condition unknown
does the port you had it on flow freely. could be a bit of carbon blocking it if the turbo is turning it should make boost even if its spewing oil you would only have 6-7 psi stock blob those numbers are gen nissan from thier FAST system. very handy resource for plumbing etc. dazza You can view topic.
