spent a few hours on my brothers corona yesterday (after hes girlfriend had to get it towed home )

this is what i come up with

fuel pump is fine and is getting in throught the carb fine

now he is running standard ignition
spark is going through the points in the distributor fine
have not checked if its sparking at the plugs

when he first got the car he ran out of fuel on the way home
is it posible the jetting in the carboureter is blocked?

i told him to buy a datsun
but one day he comes home with a bloody corona

Yes if it ran out of gas that would explain why it won't start.

Test the spark or put a little petrol down the carb if it fires up you know it does run.
