help! spring shackle bolts!
clammy

i cannot get the spring shackle bolts out, i have tried a search about it but cant find much.
i would like to know whether the bolt itself will come out, or do i need to undo the top bolts and take off the complete shackle plate? and also, is it somewhat safe to replace the original bolt with a high tensine steel item? any help much appreciated. cam

easiest to take the whole shackle off, why do you want to replace the bolt?

i need to replace it because the tramp rod setup im making at the moment needs a slightly longer bolt.

im very much doubting you will find another bolt the same shape, but you do know that the top shackle bolts are longer than the bottom ones right

The 3 bolts are pressed onto the inside plate and come off as a unit, once off you can knock the bolt out and redrill it and the outside plate to whatever size you need.
