#1 aftermarket performance cam for A14/A15
sunny1046 Posted on: 2009/7/22 0:47
Hey I'm doing a research about building an A14/A15 motor and am looking at performance camshafts. What are good camshafts for these engines and where can I find them besides the tomei website. They are just too expensive on there...$910

I think those are only used on motorcycles.

OK I'll check out the delta website. I want to build the motor for street performance for a Datsun 210. I plan to do headwork, port and polish and probably bigger valves and have a twin carb setup. Should I leave the block stock or should I put flat top pistons and stuff like that?

DD the g13b gti and Honda d16 where the factory cars I was thinking of.
Motorbike technology that seeped into their cars since the late 60s.

If you leave the block stock, it will be very reliable and cost less.

Flat-top pistons are good if you want to squeeze a few percent more HP and don't mind paying for premium gasoline. You can expect 3% more horsepower.

OK so I think I know how I'm going to have my engine built.
Stock Bottom
Ported and polished head
Metal headgasket
light weight pushrods
Bigger valves
Isky cam
Twin Weber DCOE 45s
msd or bosch coil
headers and 2.5 inch exhaust
lightened flywheel

Do you guys think that it'll be a good build for street use?
