I think it has be'n done but they require a verry thick disk(30mm), witch is a whole lot of unessisery wate in a little 1200 even if it has a SR or something? a better option for 4 pots is I think one of te smaller nissans, s14 maybe? or series 4 RX7 calipers witch Im curently doing at the moment.

r31s only have a 250-260 x 18mm disc

and pretty much all nissan 4 spots use a 30mm disc(some 300zx's have a 26mm disc but they are rare)...doubt you would really notice the difference in weight between a 30mm and a 25mm disc of the same diameter

to get r31 brakes on, id assume you would want to use the r31 struts also. exactly the same as fitting stanza struts, so search stanza struts and you should find a couple of step by step guides

you are assuming right. as the is a huge difference between the 1200 and r31 struts

So would you use the R31 struts, lcas and radius rods, same as Stanza conversion???

edit - says the guy who really wants to know for his 120Y -

stanza, sunny, late 120y or late 1200ute control arms
sunny or stanza steering arms
sunny or stanza outer tierod ends
sunny or stanza balljoints
late 1200ute or late 120y radious rods
then you need the spacer ring from datsport to properly locate the strut on the steering arm

also you will need to cut the spring perch off the r31 struts and weld smaller 1200 sized ones on or go coilovers

i have already sorted the springs and I dont care about the offset being different cause i can match the rear diff with the font and use my flared guards that i already have( thanks to 120fly i think) I might just go and get the r31 lca's and see how well that fabed. If i have any success i'll make a tread for ya
