they should bolt straight in
they will have shorter shocks and a larger stub axle and use larger diameter springs can cut the spring perches off your stock struts and weld them to the 180b struts and then use the springs you already have that upgrades pretty easy to do, magna disc and VS commodore caliper. pretty much a straight bolt on job if you can modify the discs to suit the 180b hub

thanks pigdog, can the 180b spring be left? or is there a clearance issue? yea it was easy como calipers are easy to get and cheap hardest part was finding late 180b struts as they have the larger axle thats needed, the erly 180b struts are the same as 1600, appreciate ur help

should be able to fit the larger springs in, guess you will just have to put them in and see
can use sunny strut tops as it will make the car sit a little lower than the 180b ones

thanks again mate, might even muck around with the ground control DIY coilover kit. but tell me would it be any benifit shortning these struts? i assume they would already be a shorter strut than the b310 ones, most guys with 1600s shorten there struts when doing the coilover route and fit z31 inserts, but thats usally because they have trouble getting them low

180b struts should be about perfect in a sunny unless its really really low... you should gain about 2inches of travel using 180b struts over sunny ones.

Yeah but those are bolt on jobs... alloy threads are a no-no, especially when they get dirty they will chew out.
(well they say weld on but they weld on a ring that the alloy sits on and the weight of the car keeps it pushing down on the ring...) Get these ones.... they are $330 i paid $275 about 4 years ago. http://www.importbitz.com/suspension.htm You can view topic.
