Gday, just curious whether this has been done in a datsun b110,210 or 310 at all. I saw this on trademe:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=263306289 Is the increase in performance enough to justify it over an A series engine or do most just skip the GA and go to the CA? The seller reckons it bolts up to a 56a or 60a box which is interesting.

Engines are more common than the CA18DE as more where sold and the
1.8 litre version the QG18de is the one to go for used in Pulsars throughout OZ until 2005. The ignition is the issue but easily solved with megalite jnr kit There was one on a 120y somewhere but posted on an American site yet the converted 120y is supposedly in Australia. Probably the same weight as the ca18 as it has a chain drive but very compact dimensions. The americans boost these engines alot. The issue is pollution gear.

is the GA16 the newer version of the Nissan Exa motor, the E15/16 engine. Those bolt up without too much misery into the 1200/1000.

Yes, it has been done to several 1200s.
Is it worth it? Yes, 115 hp in stock form. Compared to 83 HP for top A-series in stock form. CA18DET is in another class, so irrelevant. Should be easy once you get the GA16 RWD transmission. Or use typical swap crafting if you don't. You can view topic.
