WTB: CA18DET Gearbox Bolts
Datwags

Hey everyone,
Does anybody have the bolts to join the gearbox to the engine on a CA18DET? I have the engine and gearbox, but sadly they can't be joined together :( Alternativley, does anyone know the dimensions of the bolts? That way I can just get them made up. I think there are 6 bolts all the same size and 2 smaller ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Tim

In the CA18DET manual it lists the lengths of all the bolts required for the CA18DET gearbox - I think they are an M10 thread....will just have to double check for you.
I've also used A series head bolts when things get desperate - they are the same thread

Thanks for the help guys. Mildman, if you could get back to me with the thread that'd be great. I'll try and download a CA18DET manual in the meantime.
Hopefully hear back from you soon. :)

I still haven't been out in my garage (been stuck in home reno land for months....)
You can buy a thread gauge from most auto hardware stores (serious ones) for about $10 if you can measure a A series head bolt you will have the thread (or someone else here might be able to measure it) I am pretty confident it's M10 - or go and buy 1 x M10 bolt and try winding it in to the back of the block....
