battery Discharging Problem ?

Hi Guys
I found that mine car battery is dead over night suddenly, i guess there is a leak in the system, how do you check it guys ?any idea please Thanks Regards sumith

I would not worry about it unless it happens again. Just clean the battery off and charge it up.

That Happened to me Last two days, if one day i would have forgotten it ,but continuously 2 days not like ever Happened thanks regards sumith

well if u havent left something like a inside light or boot inside light on, moisture and dust on top of the battery can let the current across, so clean it up. how old is the battery it should have a date on somewhere.

Battery is bit old but how come this happen suddenly, that has never happened in the past,at least it stays 5 days without any run still i could start the car in maximum 2 keys Thanks regards sumith

I recommend you clean the battery off and clean the terminals. Just like 1000coupe says.

Hi Guys
Checked my Wiring system to see whether any leak in the system,but did not find anything,checked the charging system also everything is in order ,looks the problem is with the battery cell, Thanks Regards sumith

id recommend u check for current draw with an ammeter... Something has to be draining it to go dead over night.

Could be an internal leak inside the battery.
But yes, the ammeter will tell you if there is an external leak. It will tell you right away.

Generally speaking, theres not many accessories that can cause a current draw... Id be thinking something along lines of an internal fault in the radio, or a something plugged into the cigarette lighter, possibly the clock aswell... DD ive never really come across an internal leak in a battery before... cau u explain please?
