Scrutineers will check for basic things along with some other stuff. Make sure you have a secure battery
tape or film over headlight glass 1kg extinguisher ABE type (best ones from Autosport) cams approved with 3 hold points and 3g clamp- has to be within reach while belt is on some check excess slop in reclining of seat oil leaks secondry bonnet catch battery and tow point decals catch can for rad overflow liquid need a oil catch can tank- cant remember what the ruling is? Think its 1 lt up to 2ltr engines and 2ltr above 2lt minimum- you can check online cams manual.... In fact have a look here.. http://www.camsmanual.com.au/10_gen_req.asp Schedule A + B are the basics, The rules sometimes read scary but are generally common sense. Have fun mine will be out next year!

Bonnet pins are best and because there are two of them you can get rid of the original catch, or run that and a tiedown strap or something, have seen all sorts of things used.
Schedules A+B as it is a speed event, sections 3,6,8,15 (Tailshaft loop, scatter shield, twn master and crankcase breather) aren't required for a unrestricted road registered vehicle. Should be good fun this year, I know a few blokes getting out there, will be there if not running, so many damn hurdles.

I'll be there again, but you mean 28th March. Your looking at the 2009 calender.
You will need a 2L catch can, as your engine capacity is 1.8l Turbo. It is then mulitplied by 1.7 which = 3.06 l engine. Saying that i ran a 1.5l tank for two years and no one picked it up. You all ready have a secondary bonnet latch. The first is the cable pull latch, and the second is the leaver that you lift to open the bonnet. How did you go with the booster Ben?

SSSUTE: yeh i got it all working :) havent got it off the jack stands yet coz my neighbour told his jack back an mine doesnt go high enough, as i got truck stands and the car sits like 50cm off the ground haha.. my CA dopesnt even get blow by so thats gay as if it needs to be that big, plus mine has like 6 zip ties holding it onto the wipper blade motor :)

Being a road registered car I don't think you need those items is what I meant, run anything non-road worthy and you go into competition rules and need to have a look at all sections under schedule A+B, well thats my understanding of it all. Have you read Schedule A+B, theres about 30 sections to read and tick off.

12.have any container within the cockpit which can hold more than 500mL of hot liquid (other than a series
heater core) enclosed in a sealed compartment; WTF DOES THAT MEAN? i don't run a heater yeh ill buy a tail loop. i think there like 40bucks from sprints.. so anyone got sum semislicks in 15inch :P so i can use them for a meeting

It doesn't apply because you don't have anything in the cockpit that holds hot liquid.
Heard that the meeting might not be twilight now, just spent a couple nights on wiring and making sure all the lights work, bugger!
