Hi everyone, have not logged on for a lonnnnng time. so I finally got the time to source a rebuilt 1200 4 speed in my area (Vancouver B.C) and I have 2 weeks off school due to the Olympics. The 1000 has been sitting for quite a few months, I was wondering what steps I should take before starting it back up with the new 1200 box installed (A15 motor).
I was thinking of flushing the gas and giving it a oil change. Anything else I should be aware of when starting a car that's been sitting? Thanks ![]()

1. make sure battery is charged :) or have jumper leads ready :) obviously
2. check oil level 3. check radiator fluid level. 4. drain carby bowl, and turn key over to re-fill 5. clean the spark plugs with some emery paper 6. fire it up :) 7. warm it up a bit. drain the oil whilst warm and re-fill with fresh oil and replace filter :) step by step guide for ya :)
