hey partners i been thinking on building a new engine for mi ute, i have nothing yet just an 40dcoe weber just want you to recomend me on what to do, i want an stock a14 block, but dont know what head and cam to use because in my country is too dificult to find these parts so please give some advices on what to do

pd. i have an toyota ct12 turbo been thinking on build the a14T but not sure

i would personally go the a15 with twin carbies and a nice big cam and double valve springs.. that would be awesome. it also depends on what you want to drive it for

i use my ute every day i just want more power and my a12 is old

alrighty then. why dont you rebuild your engine with a better carby and the other mods that i have previously stated. it will humm along ey i am doing the same thing to mine as we speak. you can put the a14/15 head straight on aswell and they will give you more power as they are oval port not round port

well i was thinkign on build a a14 because is easy to find and i need a 5 speed tranny and i wanted to build it slowly because i still use my ute every day and i cant be without a vehicle for those days

yes that is true. if you can get the parts for an a14 and build it up then go for it mate. it will be quicker and more torquey than the little a12 for sure.

so what head should i use? im want to use a twin carb setup and a racing header

is stick with the a14 head.. just put double valve springs in it a bigger cam and get the carbys to suit the cam you run. headers will make a bit of an improvement aswell and weekend_1000 sells electronic distributors aswell pretty cheaply on here his name is mal
