i've got an a14 injected intercooled turbo in a 1200 ute. much larger 3 core radiator, no engine fan and a 12 inch thermo on only one corner of the rad. when tuning at idle engine gets quite hot (on standard guage) the old a12 had a smaller 3 core rad and would idle all day without getting hot. when driving the temp creeps up but have never let it overheat, does anyone think there may be a misdirection of flow cause its cooling the turbo as well? my concern is it might not be cooling the whole system cause the heater isn't as hot as i think it should be. i've got a 80lt per min eletric w/p and big #OOPS# off thermo to go on but pointless if one end of the motor cooks. the branch off the outlet(near the current water pump has a t piece that is plumbed to the turbo feed and the heater. so yeh if anyone can comment

Since you are running an electric water pump, I double check the flow of water is going in the right direction, I would not hurt to test and or replace your thermostat either. I got a little confused with your description of the water feed connection point to your turbo. Not sure what other have done [im sure they may comment], but I would be tempted to tap into the water plumbing cct at the back of the cylinder head where it feeds the cabin heater.

Put the engine fan back on -- that should solve the problem. Seen it a hundred times.

you might also want to check that the electric waterpump has a speed control on it as the water may be flowing to fast through the radiator to cool properly.

take the rad cap off let the car run till the thermostat opens and see how fast the water is moving past the opening.
