Hi all, I'm looking fro the ring & pinion gear for a H150 - 3.9 ratio. I've got 2 of the 3.7 ratio's & was hoping someone in OZ might have a gear set they'd sell me. According to the 1980 210 manual that came in the 210 in my driveway the 3.889 was only in the automatic version.

If anyone can help me out, that'd be great, let me know.

There are no 3.9 H150 gearsets. They are all 3.889.

It is the most common ratio in USA. You can find them at pullapart, I saw one last week at the Tacoma lot.

I was rounding up, I've managed to acquire two 3.7 ratio's. One we thought because it was coming out of an automatic would be a 3.889 but wasn't, the other is sitting in the beater 1980 210 in my driveway waiting to be pulled & I assume because it was a 5 spd. car its a 3.7 also.

Maybe you're right, maybe there were more auto's & 4 spd. cars, I'm just not getting lucky & running into them, I just keep finding

I thought we'd discussed in a previous thread that the 3.889/3.9 was very prevalent in AU in the H150? Did I remember this wrong? Anyways I need/want a gear set or full center so if anyone's got one they'd like to sell please let me know.

You won't be able to tell the difference between the two gear ratios. I am going from a 3.90 to a 4.80. That is a big difference which will be known. I have a 3.70 lying around (just the ring and pinion) so if you want a third set let me know.

maybe your right Ernie that it wont be noticeable, I assumed it would be but I've nothing to base it on. What were you running in the one you grenaded? That was a H150 wasn't it?

Maybe I'll throw the 4.365 set in & see if it'll hold up, it's the H145. What size tires & wheel are you unloading?

Ive broke a H150 and the last one was a H165. I have a set of 14" Z wheels and tires. I have a set of 13" Enki wheels that are currently on the car. A series motor stuff. Fresh A14 motor and 2 5 speed tranny's. Stock wheels and Hubcaps as well. Other stuff.
