#1 traction bars
DJF280 Posted on: 2010/5/4 13:50
Hi guys has any one made the rear traction bar set up from the 1200 competition manual. Will they work without the sway bay that is also illustrated in the book. Im thinking of giving it a go....

Made a big difference on the drag strip for me, also built a tray mount swaybar control bar thingy that I copied off a US drag forum. You can see the brackets on either side of the diff, with arms going straight up thru the tray. Best thing I coulda done, short of a full 4 link rear clip.

Bones is that your setup of one from SAfrica? (surely not the states??)
Thats the famous Alfa diff I want to use, apart from all the finning its has
a finned oil sump, absolute beauty.

Nick, Im in for the group buy on those things! especially since your going IRS :)

Yep, thats the Alfa 4.3:1 LS diff which is in diff heaven now. Heres a pic of the tray mount anti roll bar. I sold this rollingchassis complete a short while back, and I'm on the hunt for a new chassis. Check out competitionengineering for design cribbing Heh heh

any control arm of that sort will work, 200b stanza and sunnys have similar arms that could probably be used

come to think of it they might have been sunny bottom arms
