Hi gays, i'm trying to find info on vernier pullys..
Was browsing on Nissan N12 turbo site, was trying to get more info on Electronic Dizzy's and read an artical on ajustable cam pullys and the diff it made to a E15 enjin. It got me thinking of what diff it cam make on a A-enjin... I started looking into this, but i'm unable to find a A-type enjin that workes with this, so i can get an idea of How and Where, te pro's and con's. Maby i mised something some were, can anyone inlighten me. Thanks Kiri

You always say 'Gays'.... it's hilarious.
Adjustable Cam Sprocket allows for precision 'dialing-in' of the camshaft... simple as that really. Imagine the stock sprocket with one setting and then consider a performance cam with an adjustable sprocket- you get the opportunity to fine tune valve operation. That's my understanding anyway. Kameari make a beautiful adjustable camshaft sprocket.

if your playing with cam timing and wish to change it a few times, you are best to buy the custom made timing case as well.instead of pulling the sump and timing case off every time you what to change the cam timing.you only need to set cam timing once(refer to your cam specs), but you can play if u wish (comes back to cost of adjustable gear and timing case)if you can get it right the fist time its all good. cheers ernie

I also want to know from someone that have it in there enjins (Turbo appl) i wanne get a better idea of the pro's /con's involved

It will not be availible in SA.
Best to cut a round hole in the casing and get a round Alu plate lazercut that is more or less 20mm diameter bigger than the whole, tap some thread in the case and you have your own.

Errol used to make them, send yours in and he'd modify it to have a removable cover. I think it cost AUD$120.
![]() Kiri1 not sure what is available in South Africa but I think it would be easy to make your own operable timing case cover. But you'd need a spare to experiment on first. Here is a Kameari timing sprocket. You can also drill the stock one to suit, depends what cam you run I suppose. ![]() ![]()
