Hi, I tried to replace the universal joints on my tailshaft today with P/N rju1786 but they are clearly the wrong size. Also it appears that front one is not replaceable. Rear one has c clips forward one does not.
I have two tailshafts the other one does not have replaceable u joints either. Any ideas anyone? The vibration is quite anoying I really need to fix this. Thanks Geoff.

Ok, didn't want a complete new one as u joints are cheap. A new tailshaft would be at least a couple of hundred dollars.
Thanks Geoff.

yeah just get the tailshaft yokes modified to suit replacable unis, much cheaper than getting a whole new shaft made from scratch

I was unlucky enough to go through this hole mission today. I was quoted 300 bucks to splice in a new end with a replacable uni and balance. Was eventually convinced to get a complete new shaft made with new yokes and larger uni's from a commodore, total price...$550. What a mission!!!
