Was at the Ecology down in Chula Vista, CA spotted this full tube chassis 72 1200 with sheet metal firewall, dash, floors, trans tunnel, a few other pieces. Looked like a project car cut short. The cage looked pretty solid but all the welds weren't finished yet. The body was beat up but it still had all the glass in it. Also had a Toyota motor.

Holy moley! What's the world coming to when a full tube frame, all aluminum interior drag racer winds up in a U-Pull it junkyard?! I wonder what the backstory is on this...

Puerto Rico has these Tudor 210 with 800+ hp
turbo 3tc engines, I wonder how one ended up
in California? Id take that home with me without
thinking twice.

Went for a look-see. The tube frame is in perfect condition. (only has a couple of welds to tidy up) (about $4k worth of frame new) The professionally done aluminium interior panels are still there except for the dash & gauges. (about $2k worth of tin work) The rear axle is gone. The front end is modified 1200 struts with rack and pinion steering adapted to it. The Toyota engine is a junk place holder for mocking up the engine mounts and such. The Ecology valet parking staff wasn't too condsiderate - but the body could be salvaged. It is 100% rust free & already cut and spliced for rear wheel tubs. The front end is ready for a one piece 'glass clip. If anyone in the greater L.A. area is considering building a dragster based on the 1200 sedan, get down to the Heritage Road Ecology Auto Parts in Chula Vista pronto! Bring 3 or 4 buddies, an air chisel and for ~$150, you can walk out with a dragster project that's got the majority of the work done. (except for the doors and windscreen - they were in such good shape that I liberated them)

Ooops - forgot to post the VIN for the International Datsun 1200 Registry archives: LB-110 336858.
