hey guys just after info on changing cranks from your standard a12 one to the a15 one? is it possible, a bolt on procedure n any gains from motor power/torque ?? any help on this is appreciated

you can put an a14 crank in a a12 block. its a lot of mucking around. you'll need a15 pistons, a14 crank, a12a rods, and then you need to machine the block to clear the crank. why not just stick an a14/a15 in?

Yeah lots of work. All you are building is an A14 or A15 engine.

If you go the A14 crank way you might opt to machine the crank rather than the block. The con-rods will have to have the small end bored (or as qik100 said source some A12A rods) to accommodate the bigger pin of the larger A-series pistons (if you were stroking the engine as well as boring it).

There are a few ways of doing it but it's much easier to drop a larger engine in.

Tell you what, bige built one for lil_1200 some time ago (bored and stroked A12) and the engine was later put up for sale. Last time I checked the engine had a knock and the seller was quite negotiable on the price of the engine.

If it's as simple as a new set of bearings and a tickle up of the crank journals you could probably get yourself a decent price.
