rear beaver replacement

Hi guys,
I was wondering if I could call on the collective wisdom to help answer a question regarding rear beaver replacement. I have removed the old beaver which was non factory (2mm steel folded up). The new repro section is ready to fit, but do I fit it over lapping the tail light ends or under? I am assuming the beaver outer edge should line up and flow in a straight line into the tail light corners if possible. this should be a relatively easy job but I want to be sure as my factory reference points are probably out from previous repairs. I think the tray lip has been knocked in to make the previous repair fit... leaves me with a bit of a gap that needs to be filled. any pics would be useful. Have searched but not come up with alot, except for one pic in "AW's build" whcih I cant tell how the panel meets. Cheers Ed

yep that's the panel Im using... does the flange sit over or under the corner panels? I can press in a flange just need to know if I should be lapping it over the top or sliding it under.
appreciate your help. Cheers Ed

thanks ddgonzal,
I will prob end up playing with it until it jut fits. I did think of just cleko'ing the panel on top of the other and then running the cut off wheel thru it. will just fit it up to get the best fit. Cheers Ed

there's a flange in behind the beaver panel. it's attached to the tail light panel and the beaver panel is spot welded to this (2 or 3 from memory) and then sealant over top down the seam

thanks Grant I'm getting the pic now... the tail light corners have a step down flange, and the beaver sits on this... this helps alot, I was wondering why I couldn't get the beaver any closer in..
