Added couple of new photos..
Door trims in..
Doors complete except for seal...all new rubbers...vent window a bitch to do..
Pioneer head set and speakers should rock.. custom 10" woofer is going in box behind hand brake.
I don't like the after market grill...not much else around... This one is slightly warped and doesn't fit well around drivers side head light... make sure you check them if you are buying one. Had to make up a badge for it..
Trims were really tight to fit... had to bend the retaining strips out to make them fit.
I think it's coming together well..
Wasn't really happy with the paint job.. Hurt my back and got someone else to paint it... Used acrylic and clear coat ...I would go 2 pack next time and do it myself..
This is my first Dato 1200 build.. got another in the shed.. have got plenty of ideas for it after finishing this one. Thinking CA18DET and smooth skin with polished alloy lid.

I want to find some chrome rims for this build..
I was thinking 14" with lower profile tyres to keep the same OD.
I read in the forum the Hyundai rims fitted and of the cuff bought a set at a garage sale Hyundai Getz... I should have measured them first..
When I got home I found they were 100mm centres not 114mm for the Dato :(
If anyone has any brands they know of that fit straight onto a standard Dato and can be registered please comment...
