The speedo in my 1976 1200 ute reads faster then what im actually doing my speedo will read 80kmh when my gps reads 50. Not sure if this would be a problem caused by the speed sender unit or speedo cable. Ive got 12 inch tyres. Any ideas?

Normal tolerance is up to 10% fast. Yours is much more than that.
Cable cannot cause this problem. There is a gear in the side of the transmission that you can change. Buy different gears from Nissan. But first you need to know which gear you have. ![]() See Speedometer, section "Drive Ratios"

Have you got a 5 speed gear box? Or a 4? Any other changes recently? Or have you just bought this car?
