hi everyone. when i bought my coupe a while ago, i planned on keeping it original till i had a serious a series built to throw in it. the matching engine and auto where ment to come with the car but the bloke had them in storage at his mums house. Since buying the car, and calling him 20+ times to get the matching # engine and box, hes this morning told me that he threw it out a month ago because hes a prick! (punch in the face coming his way next time i see him)
so i have a mate with a 120y auto and was wondering if they were the same or similar and fitted, as i was trying to keep it original for now. cheers Josh

B110 and B210 Automatic Transmissions are not the same.
* Both are 3N71B automatic transmissions * B110 unit has air-cooled torque convertor * B210 unit has externally cooled convertor, requiring a radiator with transmission line fittings I believe they interchange if you include the cooling lines and do the radiator swap.

OK, found out the story. B210s with engines larger than A12 have the external cooler.
So i'd guess all 120Ys are air cooled. Should swap straight over. Might be minor differences in shifting or electrics/interlock between years. You can view topic.
