#1 Steering box troubles

Hey guys
I'm not sure if you guys could help but I half pulled apart my steering box and when I did the circlip that is just behinde the indicator thing popped off. Now I've put it all back together when u turn the steering wheel it pops the circlip off and you can see the shaft go In and out as you turn the steering wheel left to right. Would anyone have an idea on what it may be is there 2 circlips further down the shaft or something?

Not sure mate but I'd replace the popped off circlip first, you didn't compress the collapsable column did you?

The bearings and shims control the shaft from moving towards the driver, there is no circlip.

Yeah I did i didn't pull the colum the whole way out though I tried to pull the box off the end of the colum

I don't see a clip in that photo, but it looks like the bushing is not screwed in far enough.
