#1 B310 Seatbelts
AgentWright007 Posted on: 2012/5/21 18:31
Anyone got a picture of some b310 seatbelts? Mine were cut out when I bought the car and I cant remember what they look like. I just bought some 120Y seatbelts on ebay and they'll work but they arent installed behind the panel like the originals. Just curious.

Did you put this style of B210 seat belts in?

Thats the one! I havent installed them yet. My only concern is that my door panels might look a bit funky not having a belt popping out of that plastic deal.

Really they were a cheap buy (20 bucks, compared to around 75ea for new aftermarket belts on Amazon) so that why I got 'em. I've had GMC lap belts in there since I got the car and it's a wonder I havent been pulled over for it yet.

Sorry I don't have a photo. They are naked retractors though (no cover, since they go inside the door pillar). They have red buttons.

Ya I kinda got my memory jogged once I thought about it. Those are definitely a bit cleaner than the ones I got. They're pretty clunky. But considering that someone cut off the original belts that tells me that maybe these are a little more reliable? These were listed on ebay for a b210 but is that right? I can see yours are in your 1200.

naw, the B210 units jam up as often as the rest

You can clean them though, take the hair and lint out of the retractors.

I took mine out since one side didn't work right. Now I have 620 pickup single-piece belts.

Are those lap belts? Does Washington not have 3 point seat belt regulations?

Washington does not require 3-point belts.

But single-belt is a 3-point. There are 2-belt 3-point (separate lap and shoulder belts) and 1-belt 3-point (lap and shoulder are one piece).

The B210 belts are separate, but permanently fastened so they use two retractors per side.

The (late) 620 belts are one piece, and the buckle slides. Same type the new cars use.
