what model designation are the webers? 40/42/45 dcoe/dcom type 9/13/152 etc. All the info will be found on the top cover. Do you know what chokes, aux venturis, idle jets, air jets, pump jets, main jets and emulsion tubes are fitted?
cheers benny

They are dcoe 45.. The last time I got my motor dynoed at hi-comp performance he had to make them a bit bigger from memory 48mm that are now but yeah only 95% sure..
I've been using them for a while have only ever had shell v-power flowing through them..

48mm what?.......throat, butterfly ? if they are 48mm imo they are way to big for any A-series. Mixture velocity speeds would be terrible at low rpm.
It was a popular mod back in the day to enlarge 48mm IDA webers to 51mm to be used on the 13B rotory's. Different ball game altogether though.

Maybe he meant THIRTY eight mm 'chokes'? not 48mm (to be honest even 38mm chokes are on the large side of things, unless it's a fairly hairy cam/head combo??
Beyond the fact that they are 45dcoe webers, what model are they. There's actually a couple of different types, the 9 the 13 an the 152 (?? I think it's the 152). they have minor differences in idle and transition fuel discharge holes. IIRC the 152s are actually the ones made after they stopped original production, and started being produced somewhere like spain? The differences appear minor, but in practice it's a huge deal (for most people) and generally speaking the dcoe 9 version is the one everybody 'wants' the most. It's also (naturally) important that they are both the same model, because with the same jets/bleeds etc, different models won't behave identically, and can be a hidden tuning/optimising pitfall. Reason I'm posting all this is because it'll be essential to know which model dcoe they are to have any idea of what an appropriate $$ offer might be (or whether they are suitable for whatever combination a potential buyer might have in mind).

Mate they're Definately bigger that 45mm my motor is far from standard and it's got a huge cam.. Therefore it can handle more fuel (well needs more fuel) I dunno off the top of my head what the model numbers are but I do remember that they are matching numbers.. If you don't wanna believe that they're big that's fine you don't phase me I know that it's true and so does joe at hi-comp performance he re jetted the carby and tuned them..
