Hi guys, on the back of the Great Wall discussion, was wondering if any of you have any experiences or opinions on the Nissan Cube.
Now I know some of you might think they are funny looking...but the mrs is a clown so it seems to suit her profession perfectly, practical too as it has room for her kit and hula hoops etc, low-loading doors and still small and nimble enough to get around town traffic too. She has a Festiva at the moment, and has expressed that while she'd like more space...she doesnt really want to go too much bigger/less economical.

There seems to be a lot of them really cheap second hand 10-15k (our budget) with 60k average on the clock, for such a new car, is there some reason people are selling them besides maybe they decided the look wasn't for them?

The wiki here gives the engine a big thumbs up, (for a Datsun at least :)...what about the rest?
Your thoughts or alternative suggestions appreciated!

IMO ugly as a hatfull of a-holes but in terms of functionality they would be fantastic. They'd make a great parts runabout!
in terms of reliability, having worked at a Nissan dealership I can honestly say that apart from ZD30 Patrols, all Nissans are bloody reliable even with a few kms.

You're missus really is a clown? That's gold! At first I thought you meant she was a bit of a goose and it suited her that way!
I think my mum thought I'd be a clown.....
Ended up as a bearded lady instead.

With the price of razors these days, cant say I blame you.
You get many coming through your way Shoota?
She's on the road a lot so I wanted something safe also.

I'm not at Nissan anymore but regardless I haven't seen many traded in at any dealerships I've worked at.
They shouldn't be too bad in terms of safety but I reckon they'd roll easier than say a normal hatch. You would think the centre of gravity would have to be higher.
You can't have everything I guess!

Jennadat has a cube. They are awesome. Pretty sure hers is the CR14 powered one. I truly think they are fantastic, hers has watanabe's too which look sweet. Veyr spacious inside, not the most powerful things but impul do a supercharger/intercool kit for them.

They do look good with Watts

I think visually I'm still trying to wrap my head around them, My intitial reaction was similar to Shootas...but the slammed retro truck look they suggest has grown on me.
Not too sure on the new "blobby" styling tho

Sorry prefer r+

Aus delivered easier to insure and get parts for. Mega reliable. Still storage plus.

The mods a bonus for you so you can drive and feel manly.

Or bolt the wheels onto your 1k ;) and she gets stock wheels lol
