Hi guys
Yesterday i had an issue with my b310,suddenly car stops then checked the carb float glass but no fuel insde, but has enough of fuel in the tank, then thought tank line was clogged and sucked that through mounth then fuel came out, took the fuel pump away and put it into a bottle of fuel and pumped it by hand then fuel came out but when i put the same fuel pump into the main fuel line fuel didn't come up what would be the possible cause ? any clue about which are to be inspected ? thanks regards sumith

Try this: remove fuel line at the ouput side of the fuel pump, fit hose into can and crank the engine. If the fuel pump won't draw fuel, it's a bad fuel pump.
If the fuel pump works, but the fuel bowl will not fill, then perhaps the filter in the carburetor inlet is plugged, or the needle-and-set valve is stuck. Not all Hitachi carburetors have an in-carburetor filter, but some of the B310 ones do.

Hi DD
it was bad fuel pump DIAPHRAGM replaced it with another one problem solved now engine won't idle i think it is running too low idle could be fuel pump pressure difference between early and current situation. i will take up idle speed a little up and see how it goes and let you know guys thanks regards sumith

It won't be the fuel pump pressure difference. The float level handles a variety of fuel pressures.
Just set the idle & mixture and she'll be right. You can view topic.
