Guys im in dire need of a 56 series speedo cable i unfortuantly have been really lazy and now that my braided fuel lines have come and wanting to get everything back on the road ASAP with the 56 series 5 speed i have i don't have the correct speedo cable.

The speedo cable i have does not have the fitting for the 56 series

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

It looks like you have the right cable.

But you are missing the speedometer driven gear that bolts into the tranmission.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to get a new 56 series speedometer?

Would my local Nissan dealer do it?

Or does someone have a 56 series laying around with one in it that i can purchase or has a spare?? (not that im sure my speedo will be right with a second hand but im willing to give it a go to make sure everything is working so i can get the bad boy back on the road as it has been off the road nearly 4 years)

Your car is 2nd hand or more ... so why wouldn't a 2nd-hand gear work?

Yes, you can get them from Nissan.

Or just get one from a fellow club member.

That's right. But the stock gear will also be incorrect if you have changed the size of the tires.

spoke with nissan today and they are ordering a couple gears so i have a spare all should be sorted ran a bench test today with the speedo cable and worked out the gear ratio

I need one for a 71series gear box if Any one has one
