#1 Ute under cab chassis rails
datatat Posted on: 2012/10/5 3:32
Hey all
Haven't been able to find much on this topic
Under the floor at the front of the cab there is the two rails and mine are in a bit of a sad state just wondered if there's replacements available or if people fabricate new stronger ones ?
Cheers

cant say ive ever seen them available. usually they are only replaced (with rust free ones from another 1200) if the originals are rusted out, or stronger ones made if the rest of the body/chassis is being strengthened

pretty much what PIGDOG said. Just find another old 1200 with some half decent rails, from memory the rails under the cab are all straight so you should just be able to use a straight bit of rail from any 1200, possibly the 120y's too? but im not sure.

Just sleeve over the original ones like I have done with mine.... C section tube and seem weld.. pretty simple to do !!

Mine aren't totally rusted more so dented very badly so welding a section around them might be the easiest option

Thanks all
