is there a way to rebush the A12 dizzy? mine has a heap of slop in the shaft, so bad that the points will not adjust open at all! and where can i get the bush from?

I'm not going to be a lot of help re bushes unfortunately, but thought i'd suggest splurging on a whole new electronic setup instead. It's not a particularly original idea by any means, and will obviously set you back a few extra notes, but from all reports it's a worthwhile investment to make.

You can get a good used A12 distributor from someone on here for the same price as a bushing and installation.

Or get a Pulsar E-series distributor with the matching coil for cheap from the wreckers. NO MODIFICATION NEEDED for front-mounted A12, just make a hold-down out of a scrap of metal. See E15 Electronic Distributor Swap.
