1972 carburetor for Datsun 1200. Rebuild or new Any suggestions ? Where can I get the rebuilding kit or a new one. Has anyone heard of Rockauto.com ? I need brakes, clutch and rebuild the engine. Thank you

I get them from RockAuto, the local parts stores, Nissan or eBay

The only reason to get a carb kit is if the needle valve is stuck/leaking or if the pump isnt working. Otherwise if a cleanup doesnt fix it, neither will a kit. See our Carburetor Repair tech article.

I suggest upgrading to a 32/36 Weber DGV carb. More power, but less performance. Its not an expensive upgrade compared to buying a new stock carb.
