If you're really quick, you might score this. I messaged him if he could wait if I pay now for me to collect in about 3 weeks but no can do, that's me out of the running. By rights it should have a h165 with the 4.88 ratio since it's a12 powered.

Jmac if I find another will let you know but maybe Mal has one left in Perth, he sold the last one for 350 I think.

Hey thanks, but I was too slow didn't get home until after it ended. Anyone else that can help, even better if someone has a 5.2 needed for offroad use.

Hi, can anyone help me out. I have found a 89 Vanette for wrecking, can anyone tell me what diff they have in them can the centre fit the datto 1200 ute housing and what ratio it might be. The owner has said it has 8 spark plugs so it is not an A series engine????

Look on the ID plate underbonnet or the ID stick on the door pillar. It will have the code

HC43=H165, 4.3 ratio
HE43=H190, 4.3 ratio

and would that be an "L" series engine in it?
