They are pretty kick-ass.

I've seen 90's model ones at importers.
They have Air-con which is hard to believe.
They are around in Australia, but cost more than $10k for a reasonable 2nd hand one.

I'd love a brand new Bakkie (long wheel-base) and then convert it to a limousine using a Sedan Shell and a lots of mig welding wire.

Ahhh...Datsun dreaming...

As I posted elsewhere, I'm far too lazy to look into importing one myself. Does anyone in the States know of a way to get one of these into the country? I had a friend who talked about doing it, but that was a few years back.
How do those Kw numbers compare to other stock engines? I have the conversion somewhere but can't find it. Could someone repost that (Kw to Hp)? Also, any idea what that price relates to in US dollars?
Man, I want one of those.

$10K Aussie is about $5,730 here.

47 Kw is about 64 hp, I wonder how they get less power from an A14 then the 1200 has as std from an A12, perhaps the extra emissions gear and stuff. Imagine a 1200 with a catalytic converter!

Here is a good link, with specs and pics -- looks like a South Africa dealer's site:

But this is a 1400 Bakkie ...
