Need help with a speedo set up for my datsun 1200 with a ca18, anyone have any ideas

Use the search maybe? Been done heaps of times with stock dash.need to take elec Speedo drive out of gearbox and use a mechanical one.

But what exactly is IT you want to know with such a broadly based question.

sorry guys forgot to write i'm using a ca18 box, been told a stanza input shaft fits but i'm unsure

Input shaft is for the tail shaft. You talking about the Speedo drive?

it's a ca18det with a ca18det gearbox, i'm wanting to do away with the electric and go mechanical speedo

I modified a 260C auto gearbox drive with a file, and use 120Y speedo cable as it is longer than the 1200, and able to reach to the back of a CA g/box or stumpy 5 speed.

Getting a speedo drive from maddat would be easier. Get the speedo cable from ebay.
