steering column

Steering column seems loose
When you push up on it, it moves about 15-20mm. Seems like the steering column bush is missing but i'm only new to the Datsun game Anyone had the same problem?

Steering wheel moves?
Or the column moves? Check the U-brackets that hold the column to the steering support and make sure they are done up.

common problem - missing bush (or broken up and fallen out is more accurate) - remove steering wheel and you should see straight away what is missing, i think the best source for a new one is still Nissan spare parts

It feels and looks like the column is moving. Is there a shaft that goes inside another shaft?
I'll have to give Nissan a call and see what I can find Thanks for your help =)
