Dash lights weird

Just wondering anyone ever have their oil and charge light both blink red really really faint continuously until key switched off? Mine are the coupe style stock gauges.

Yes, I have seen that. It happens when the voltage isn't regulated well. Check your battery voltage at idle.

in regards to charge light,also check your voltage regulator.
if you have a spare one around, replace and measure volts of battery both on and off.should give u an idea if battery is being charged. link on tech wiki: http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=Voltage_regulator
